Save audio in three steps.
Paste the link
Copy a link from YouTube, SoundCloud, Bandcamp or another site and press Ctrl+V in Stashy.
Choose MP3 or M4A
Pick MP3 and a bitrate (320, 256, 192 or 128 kbps), or M4A to keep the original audio. Switch on Whole playlist for an album or a podcast feed.

Press Download. You get a file like

MP3 or M4A?
MP3: plays on anything
Converted with FFmpeg at the bitrate you choose. Pick it for car stereos, older music players, or when you're not sure. 320 kbps keeps as much of the source as MP3 can; 128 kbps is fine for speech and podcasts.
M4A: the original sound
Stashy keeps the site's own AAC audio whenever it can, with no re-encoding, so it's the best quality at the smallest size. The file name shows the real bitrate, like - 128kbps.m4a.
Only save audio you're allowed to: your own uploads, Creative Commons music and talks, or tracks the artist lets you download. Stashy can't download from Spotify or other DRM-protected services. Responsible use.

Which is better in Stashy, MP3 or M4A?
M4A keeps the site's own AAC audio without re-encoding whenever possible, so it's the best quality at the smallest size. MP3 is converted, but it plays on every device, including old car stereos and music players. If you're not sure, choose MP3 at 320 kbps.
Does a 320 kbps MP3 from Stashy sound better than the video?
No. Stashy can't add quality that isn't in the source; 320 kbps just keeps as much of it as MP3 can. Most YouTube audio is around 128 to 160 kbps, which is why the M4A option names its real bitrate in the file name.
Does Stashy add the song title and cover art?
Yes. Stashy embeds the title and the video's thumbnail in MP3 and M4A files, so they show up in music players.
